Mophie Juice Pack Moto Mod 3000 mAh

Re: New Battery Mod: Mophie Juice Pack 3000 mah Verizon

I'm not really digging this mod I think I'm going to return it and get the Incipio with wireless charging.

I have not tried the Mophie, but I have the Incipio with wireless charging and I love it. I literally have not plugged my phone into charge since I got the Incipio. I am a heavy user and have always killed batteries. But the Force + Incipio makes it a beast.

Plus the back has a great feeling to it. It doesn't add too much thickness, I actually like the added size, and most importantly the wireless charging works like a champ

If anyone has the Mophie is it worth 2 for 79.99 or 1 for 59.99? From what I've read in this thread I'm a little concerned with the grip and size. Too bad Verizon doesn't sell the Incipio ones.

I ordered the buy one get one for the Mophie pack. If I don't like it, I'll return it.

I did the BOGO on the Mophie also. I'll return one of the new ones when they come in to cover the one I bought at full price last week. The Mophie being a little thicker doesn't bother me and I can live with the back not being completely flat and not grippy. For the price ($40 each) I'll take the Mophie over the Incipio. Now if I could get 2 Incipio's BOGO I would pick them over the Mophie.

IDK...25% more battery and you get a USB-C port...but it is heavier and you lose wireless charging.

All things equal, I'm not sure I want the extra weight over my Tumi. I mean, I'll still probably buy one, but still...

Anyone notice with the mod on it has problems updating the battery screen on time to update with this mod?

Just got it this evening. Haven't noticed it. It's a brick on the Force weight wise. Grip as others have mentioned is on the less side. Probably I'd be happier with the Incipio but I couldn't pass up the deal.

If the existing bolt-on batteries weren't big enough for you, a new 3,000mAh Mophie JuicePack (with a USB Type-C port for independent charging) is now available for $79.99

The $79.99 Mophie is larger in capacity than the earlier Moto Mod battery packs, and packs a 3,000mAh battery that is said to provide 60 percent more battery life than a phone without it. It also has a status indicator light and a USB Type-C port so that it can be charged independently of being connected to the phone.

Mophie's Juice Pack for the Moto Z family (which you can currently buy with Verizon), is much more straightforward. The top-up battery just clicks into place and forms a deeper rounded back than any of the phones have on their own. It built-in 3,000mAh battery promises up to 60 percent more power. It has USB-C charging and its signature LED indicator to show your charge status. It competes directly with Incipit's own battery packs.

Hands on with the new Mophie and Incipio Moto Mods for Moto Z | Android Central

While we've already seen the first — a 3,000mAh battery add-on from popular accessory maker Mophie — we can confirm that it is available now in the U.S., at Verizon, for $79.99. That's the same price as those from Incipio and Tumi, except with a 36% premium in battery capacity. It's also slightly thicker as a result: 0.35 inches compared to 0.27 inches.

The Mophie Mod has another advantage: it can be separately charged via USB-C, which negates the need to have it attached to the Moto Z itself to juice it up, making it far more useful in a pinch.

Battery add-ons have proven the most popular category in the Moto Mods ecosystem, according to Motorola. Over 40% of those purchased to date have been batteries, and the company says that in an average week, 37 hours are spent with a battery add-on attached to the back of the phone. Many people leave their battery packs attached to the back of their phones on a semi-permanent basis.
