More Apps Icon On Every Page

[Android Central Question]

I'm working with a professor at my college and on her Galaxy S7, the More Apps icon/drawer/whatever it's supposed to be called, is on every page when you swipe left or right. You can access the apps drawer from these pages too. I've never seen anything like this and can't find an answer on Google anywhere. You can't remove the More Apps icon by pressing and holding, it's just stuck on each page. Any help?

I'm working with a professor at my college and on her Galaxy S7 with Nougat 7.0.0 installed, the More Apps icon/drawer/whatever it's supposed to be called, is on every page when you swipe left or right. You can access the apps drawer from these each page too. I've never seen anything like this and can't find an answer on Google. You can't remove the More Apps icon by pressing and holding, it's just stuck on each page. Any help? TIA...

That's normal. The default launcher on all Samsung phones dating back to 2010 has the icon for the apps drawer on the lower right on the dock and cannot be removed. The bottom part of the homescreen is a dock, where the app drawer and the 4 applications beside it will not change even if you swipe across the several screens. This was changed on the newer version of the launcher with the S8, and the S7 will receive on the Oreo update. You can remove the app drawer there, but the dock will still exist.

Welcome to Android Central! I merged your duplicate threads and moved them from the Nougat forum to the S7 forum, since this isn't a general Nougat issue.

Another option would be to install a 3rd party launcher like Nova, which allows you to get rid of the App Drawer button.

Diddy thanks for moving me to the right forum and "I don't know Mike am I a Balarian?" hopefully you'll get that. @chanchan05, I have a habit of not providing enough information, sorry about that. The more apps icon isn't in the dock, it's in the bottom right corner, right above the dock, on each page as you swipe left and right. I know the difference between the dock and pages (although I might not be using the correct wordage there). I should've taken a screen shot. It's actually right above the furthest right dock icon, maybe it thinks it's in the dock and it just needs to be moved out? I thought about asking her if she wanted to use Nova, but she's not really an advanced user, I think it would just confuse her. I know most of us are used to things like Nova and it seems simple enough, but I work with professors that have trouble logging into their email accounts and freaking out when a computer doesn't turn on properly. I wonder if the More Apps button you're talking about is some hidden "feature" added by some other app (often a "phone cleaner" app, and often associated with ads). Does it happen in Safe Mode as well? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-28008

I had the phone just a few minutes before I checked the forums just now. She said she's going to go to the AT&T store and see if they can help her. I'm leaving here in about an hour and won't be back 'til Monday. If she's still having trouble with it on Monday, I'll hop back on.
