I have moved from a note 5 to note 8.
Lovely phone.

Have got used to the touch screen home/close all/return, fair enough.

Bixby. I turned it off immediately. Which should be my choice but there it lurks. Really bad placement of Bixby button.
No alternate uses offered. Bad call.

No action memo. A better function of the note 5 pen. If it ain't broken don't fix it. The new version does recognise a phone number through a convoluted screen chase but no immediate action menu including pin to home screen like in the past. Had to install old version of s note and action memo widget to get it back. The new developers have even stripped that from the latest updates of s note so you have to stop updates to keep it

A big WHY?

My question is do developers listen to their clients because according to the web a lot of clients are looking for that old functionality seeing as it is called a NOTE 8 not a diary 8 or a novel 8.

Is it possible, seeing as these devices are so expensive that there is actually a response to client feedback and more autonomy in the way you can set up your phone. Why are the developers setting it up so that it is so proprietary even after it is in your hands?
Why can't I get rid of what I don't want and roll back to what is useful once I have purchased?
Thoughts people?

I remapped the Bixby button to launch the camera (which works even if the phone is locked or in any app) and disabled the double-click of the power button for that functionality. I found out by mistake I've got the power button also set to, on triple-click to send an MMS message to my wife and children saying "Help" with my location and a 5 second recording of video from both cameras! Scared them to death! Love the dedicated camera button - and glad that I won't scare my family when trying to launch the camera in the future! That triple-click is a neat feature though.

Would you please describe how did you set the triple click feature.
