Sprint roams on VZW here so I'm gold if it comes to that. If my Droid dies before the Nexus is released, that's my best alternative.

Unlimited roaming on Verizon does not mean that you get access to all of VZW's network. Far from it, and it is getting to be less and less. It just means they don't penalize you if you roam a certain percentage of your time on VZW like T-Mobile does for AT&T roaming. Also while the phones are compatible these agreements don't cover EVDO (1xRTTT only) and if you are in range of both your phone will connect to the Sprint tower even of it has worse signal. Good luck with that!

Bionoc was what a MONTH? month and half? LOL Someone had to be first and being first isn't always best. I've been saying for years other carriers get nice phones and Verizon gets the beefed up/more refined version shortly thereafter. Not always direct adaptations but equivalent devices.

Thanks for those points. When I checked with Sprint during my latest round of due diligence, they offered phones for testing in our critical territories without obligation. Of course I'll check again before making any permanent decisions, but it looks good enough.

Lol, I wish. Two year contract + nothing worthwhile released since I became eligible to upgrade = waiting for Godot...um, Nexus.

There's nothing surprising about that, really. It may be hard to believe around these parts, but there are people who use their devices for the length of their two year contracts.

As someone that upgrades every few months because there just ALWAYS happens to be a reason to hate whatever phone i have at the time, this blows my mind. Come to think of it, my very first android phone was a droid eris and it's 2 year contract would be just coming to an end right about now. How far we've come in 2 years. Wow. I'm gonna have to slow down on the upgrades

I'd just like to say....i'm so thankful every single day that i don't think like you. That's simply what we call "Argument from ignorance". You don't know something, yet you speculate this or that. While you say they're on their butts not caring, they may be scrambling to get this phone working right before it comes out. There are real people behind the scenes working hard on this, so to look at verizon as a single entity of "well, scumbag verizon doesn't care. Lazy jerks" is just completely fabricating a made up idea in your head to fill in the void. I'm sure there's a reason and not just "they dun feel likes it". They don't "owe" you a nexus, so stop feeling so self entitled

Enough for my daughter's college education. Just enough to make my girlfriend mad and question "waaaa why don't you spend money on meeee". Because you only have 1 button god dammit. I need more!

Droid eris was my first phone on verizon when i came back and that was bogo so i think $100

Plus the droid 2 full retail that was $500

Girlfriend's droid 2: $500

Plus the droid charge $600

Plus htc thunderbolt: $600

My girlfriend's thunderbolt: $600

Droid bionic: $600

Droid 3 for girlfriend: $500

New rezound for me + girlfriend: $1200

So...adding all that up would just make me sad, so i'll just say quite a bit
