I would like to know which ROM is the best? When I say the best, I mean battery saving and performance. I am using Harmonia. I am thinking of going to the aosp ROM. But, if Harmonia is just as fast and saves just as much or more battery life. I am more over performance. But I want battery life almost just as much.

I'm using aospCMod-OV-20110307 and it's been great on battery life. It seems pretty stable and gives you a lot of different options, including overclock. I haven't used any other ROMS so I can't make a comparison, but just wanted to list some issues I have had so far.
Sometimes, once a call has ended, I can't get the screen to turn back on. Other posts have said to set "Always use proximity", but this hasn't worked for me. I have to reboot the phone to get it to work properly.
Swype would not work after a while and I would have to select the android keyboard and then reselect Swype. This can easily be fixed with the SwypeRestore app.
I can no longer use Hotspot and instead I have to use Wireless Tether. Wireless Tether is ad hoc so I can't connect some devices.

The latest Harmonia, which evolved from Aphrodite, is much more efficient than Aphrodite (it seems), its likely that Bumblebee and Harmonia both equal or beat Rodimus at this point. Rodimus was the most efficient at the time of testing.
i used AOSP for months but occasionally i run the newest bumblebee or rodimus for a few days to test them out.
the AOSPCM7 rom has HORRIBLE battery life. im running bumblebee right now and from a full charge and heavy use in 3 hours ive only lost 4 percent. on wifi in my house. the aosp rom would lose 30%
but Im switching back to aosp in 2 days becuase it has features i really use that i cant easily put into a froyo rom.

I have used aosp up to 6/1 I used bumblebee for a week, and I am currently using reborn. Aosp had too many glitches, but ran smooth and had decent battery with xionia kernel. Bumble bee was ok, but wasn't real quick, it did give you alot of internal space. Reborn is very quick, and stable. The battery is as good as any, the rom as doesn't give you much internal storage, I partitioned my SD and got link2sd, it took me some time to figure out, but now I have 105mb of internal free space, and that's after installing 65 apps.. reborn is my favorite all around, its the quickest, it's got as good of battery, if not better than anything else, it looks fantastic, there are flashable themes on a thread here. And once you figure out the whole link2sd thing, you have tons of space

If you look close, they all run very close to the same, but look close, Bumblebee is the fastest Froyo rom. Your apps can make a bigger difference.
Oh, and Harmonia also has the extra storage space, it was the first Froyo rom to have it. Despite how "low tech" and simple Harmonia may seem, don't be fooled. It has much more going for it than many realize. I holds it's own against any other rom for the V.

I hear alot of good things about your rom, I just haven't tried it yet, I liked bumble, the scrolling wasn't as smooth and responsive as reborn, and the higher density levels on angry birds had a bit of a lag. On aosp and reborn. It was perfect. When i get bored with this rom i will try yours next leslie. I see your name credited on alot of other peoples work, so I'm sure your rom is excellent.

Try using the xionia kernel with aosp, it really improved my battery, the bad thing is that it's no longer being developed, so no updates, and might not work with future rom updates
Yeah, I think I will stick with Harmonia. Harmonia runs 3x better than original stock and switching to another ROM just isn't worth it. Thanks for the information guys.
I didn't think I did all that much, haha.
I do think my rom is good, but I think people see what I do as more than it really is.
Let's see, most ROMs of any developer for the Optimus V, most helpful dev outside of their own ROM threads, just a couple of reasons people really appreciate what you do.

@OP: The most important factors for overall battery life are good phone signal and keeping an eye on the apps you install, especially those that try to run in the background.
As for ROMs, if you are comfy flashing them, don't hesitate to try each one out for a few days. Do not try one out for a single day and expect to have a realistic idea of battery life. The first day you try any ROM, you obviously try out all it's features, and see how apps perform with it. If you are using a lean and clean ROM, the first day will be significantly better than the first day on a ROM with lot's of extra features you try out. By the third day on a ROM, you are used to it and treating your phone more like your normal daily usage, so this is when to make a decision. You may not want the extras of some ROMs, or you may not be able to live without them after using them.

Actually I think Asadullah (sp?) has more roms or darn close and many categorize most of mine together, though all have different personalities, but thanks, I do try to help and it's nice that people appreciate it.
after running bumblebee for a few days i can say the battery life is worse than AOSP when you are in low signal areas, as the TWS bug is not fixed
I tried putting AOSP a few weeks ago, but I bricked it because when I try flashing the ROM, it doesn't install or do anything Can I flash AOSP using a different custom recovery? Were can I find the latest AOSP Rom?
FYI, the TWS Bug is only when the TWS is always stuck at exactly 50%. If you merely have a high TWS, then you don't have the bug. You live in a low signal area. TWS bug has nothing to do with signal strength. Bumblebee and Harmonia both have a fix built in. Even if you don't have the fix, toggling airplane mode fixes it.
i never have any time without signal on aosp. its always under 3 percent and even on 1 bar of signal i get decent speed and i dont have to use wifi. bumblebee is unusable on 3G regardless of how many times i toggle airplane mode.
That's weird because I haven't had TWS at all since going to the BB 2.4 rom. I had it when I tried Reborn for a bit but went back. I can almost guarantee that it isn't the bug unless you did something wrong on flashing it. Try using something that doesn't have the bug fix and see how it compares. Does yours sit right at 50% because as stated if it is the bug it will sit at 50%.
Poor phone signal is one of the main battery drain issues on any phone/ROM. It's due to your phone searching for a better signal. One thing that can (but doesn't always) help is a PRL swap. Switching to the hybrid Sprint/VM PRL made a difference for me at home where I have poor signal on the VM only tower, but can connect to 3 other towers with the hybrid PRL.
