Mobster Rom is the best rom out there, it's what I use asmy daily driver.
AreaRom was just released but is still lacking in some really important stuff such as..
Privacy Setting are still in Settings (dangerous) and should be removed
No notification toggles, that alone is my biggest concern
Wifi refused to work until I installed GingerKernel

Still not working....screw it will try another rom
i appreciate your concern for what the AreaSlider "Lacks" im going to work to get the wifi issue fixed as im off the next 3 days. privacy settings will be removed for the next version. but i dont understand what you mean by notification toggles? =\ are you talking about you dont have a notification menu power widget? if soo i was going to work to try and add that into the next update also...
you gotta keep in mind this was just the first release of AreaSlider. bugs and issues are bound to pop up and when they do ill be here to fix them and ship out the next release... =)
Can anyone help? I clear cache , data , dalvik, partition every drive except sdcard, then flash rom then gingerkernal, and it just boot loops...
Tried downloadingg area rom , and it stops after 1.92kb and its corruptted...
Helllpss plsss I wantz customz androidsss!!
Epic battery life!!
all i can think to say is try again... and dont you mean you formated every drive not partitioned them...
yeah format not partitioned
got area installed, its pretty cool idk if its a problem with the rom or my charger, but my charger seems to randomly stop charging the phone :S it was working fine until i flashed the rom, but its a generic charger so maybe it doesnt recognize it, like it charges then stops then again it says charging...
but light android FTW!!
hey so like, a stock android rom they say is bulky - and they say windows is bulky too...stock android = windows!!
also if android/linux becomes mainstream, do you think there will be viruses/malware for unix systems??
my friend said no because the reason windows has so many viruses is cuz us cool users hate M$
good job on z rom

Da Fuq did I just read?????
Okay so I just typed out a whole rant about your post.... But it wont matter... you and your friend have no idea what y'all are talking about. I have been in computer technology for over 10 years now and I see viruses/Trojans starting to attack Apple devices and computers more now.
Why??
Because "cool" people are stupid and they spend 10x more on a Mac which is over priced for whats even in it.
I built my gaming rig with only $700 and it destroys all games with 60+ frames... good luck trying to even launch now a day games on those.
mini rant over.
Next time don't post crap that makes you seem like an idiot.
Yeah I just lol'd at the lack of real understanding of these os's. You can't post something with obvious ignorance about the innerworkings and then egotistically refer to yourself as a 'cool' user with an obvious chip on your shoulder.
In short, decompiling and recompiling the android systems .apk's and system files is a lot easier from a windows os than from a linux os (debian or other based). Its not to promote windows but it is true. As far as security, yes the number of windows users is part of the issue but the security holes has little to do with that and is more to the core of what windows is. This post is illogical and naive and is the epitome of false information. Also to call a 130mb operating system bloated is ridiculously illogical. When the size of it and its actual weight is really a manufacturer not a google issue... this is humorous to say the least.
Now I just want to point out I dual boot windows and linux mint on one system and ubuntu and win 7 on another. I've been using linux for several years now but I still use windows for most of the dev on android. Simply because of the ease of use and the better tools available. Security is a matter of ignorant users in the windows os who do dumb things on their comps. Its no fun repairing mbr virii and no knowledgable user is going to put themselves in that kind of predicament.
