I rooted my gf's Fascinate today and she wants a nice, stable ROM loaded onto her phone since she's had nothing but problems with the factory ROM. Any suggestions?

Superclean 2.9.2. If you are proficient at rooting and flashing, you can load the EB01 modem in ODIN and the Superclean ROM in clockworkmod recovery. Or if you are not proficient, you can use DroidXcon's all-in-one ODIN packages. Just let me know which you want to use and I can direct you.

I would just use the Odin package and go with the debloat EB01. Very stable in my opinion.

I have tried a few different combinations but have went back to the non-voodoo Superclean 2.9.2.

It works best on my phone.

Update:

Got bored today watching it rain, so I went Voodoo and added the latest JT1134 kernal ! Will see how it goes.

Superclean 2.9.2.

But keep on the lookout for EC01 build for the community rom.

Oh yeah going to give that a shot when it comes out. Been lurking over at XDA and thought about going ahead and going thru the process to load it but really don't want all the bloat so I will wait a "little" while.

+1 on SC 2.9.2 with EC10. I am no longer in search of any updates as this has been an awesome build!

Alright... so I'm researching how to do all this with the Fascinate, and I'm glad I didn't buy it. Doing things with my Droid X is SO MUCH EASIER than with this phone. I'm looking at Voodoo and nonVoodoo, having to install a program on the computer to input commands for root. Is there any simple way to just install a nice stable ROM on this phone???

Once your on voodoo, your on voodoo and voodoo is very easy to get running. You won't find your self switching between nonvoodoo and voodoo a lot. The most complicated thing for me was when i first rooted using the all in one DroidXcons packages. After that it was quiet simple with all the guides we have on this site and all the help we get (thank you landshark, DroidXcon, and Jaekar). I love my fascinate, I'm sure if you would buy one you would get used to it right away. :)

EDIT- ROMS are simple to install, just follow the directions the post tells you to do and flash. (Most of the time in CWM)

I am jsut gonna throw in my hat and say that it is pretty easy to root and ROM this thing once you get the basics down.

I thought it was much easier than doing it to an Eris, but then again that is an older, crappier phone

I second the notion to using DroidXCons Odin package it's so simple it that you just sit there and let it do the work for you! :) And like mentioned previously, if you decide on 2.9.2 be sure to first flash 2.9 which will do the data wiping and everything all-in-one then flash 2.9.2 and as soon as you boot up your good to go! It is seriously that easy, just follow the instructions word for word in the link provided in a post above about how to use odin and so forth it's all explained right in that one thread :)

I'm still running SC 2.9.2 with the ec01 radio and ultimate honeycomb 4. theme. I am very happy with this set up. Trust me, as soon as you root and start flashing , you will wish that you had done it alot sooner! There are a TON of great people on here to help if you get stuck

have been using SC 2.9.2 and loved it, since once you flash you become a flashaholic im testing out the EC01 debloated, very good so far

i have been using since the first day it has been out (I think it was released 3 or 4 days ago). My battery life is good, when I'm on wifi it kills my battery but my phone has always been like that. Also I'm running on Comavolt voodoo.

Interesting, Im gonna try it today if Nitro puts out that update he was talking about. also though i might wait for the "community" rom whenever that might be. Im just still in love with 2.9.2 phone is great except for battery life being under 8 hrs of up time

Yeah I'm going to flash Nitro's update as soon as it hits today. I also was going to wait for the community ROM but i like to try different things and when EC01 came out, I felt the need to flash it.
