Moto 360 FEATURE REQUEST

1) High Pixel Density.
2) 2 Days Heavy Use, 5-7 Day Standby
3) WATERPROOF
4) Scratch Resistant Screen (Sapphire or Gorilla Glass)
5) Heart Rate Monitor (Optional, but nice)
6) Compatibility with many Android Phones
7) $299 Maximum Price
8) Ability to Function as Watch Without a Phone.

That pretty much sums it up for me.

My requests:
-Some kind of fitness tracking. I believe there was a mention of it in one news story I read, but I haven't seen anything that definitely confirms it.
-Media controls - would be perfect for public transport.
-Wireless charging. As the device doesn't appear to have any ports I assume it will be working this way.
-Downloadable watch faces - for all of the customisation.
-Decent battery life. I'd like more than 48 hours, but we'll see.
-A good display, and fluid UI. Pretty self explanatory really.
-A low price tag. This is one of the most important things for me, as I can't be spending the same on a smartwatch as I would on a smartphone - it's a companion device so price it appropriately.
-And finally, international availability early on. As wonderful as it is to be assembling devices in the USA, international customers lose out if there is no way to buy said device (looking at you, Moto X...).

IR blaster would be nice but not necessary.
Built in Compass
Water Proof
Standardized Band (to replace with what ever you desire)
A screen that can be seen in direct sunlight.
I remember reading about new LCD screens that have the ability to absorb solar power. One of those would be awesome.

1. Waterproof
2. Not too heavy or thick
3. Work with my Nest :)
4. Compatible with all Android phones, screw crapple!!
5. Don't bog it down with too much stuff, like Samsung does.
6. Will work as a watch without having a Android phone connected.
7. Definitely needs to be scratch resistant.
8. Come in a variety of different finishes.

1) long Battery life
2) no bloated UI, simplicity is king : Just give me some icons and a minimal UI, not that crap they have in the Android wear promotional video. Why should anyone want to sacrifice already scarce display area for a profile pic instead of the text.
3) readable in direct, glaring sunlight.
4) Waterproof/scratch-/shock-resistant
5) media control: I want to control my music from the watch, FRW-FFW-skip-play/pause,choose track/ playlist)
6) don't make speaking mandatory: I already feel awkward speaking in a full bus or on the street. Speaking to your wrist would be really unbearable. (I hate those people speaking into their headphones)
7) please no Data hog: Google is not really known for data management. Opera uses far less data than google chrome on android even though both have dedicated servers to minimize your data usage. I don't want the phone to pull every little detail from the web. Pull those data from my phone since it is already on there.
8) please not everything google now: it doesn't work. it just doesn't work.
9) give me a pulsing multi color LED light.
10) Offline use: Imagine it pulls once a day Data for like long term stuff (Birthdays, calendar entries, Alarms). This way I can still get notifications for my appointments without connection to my phone or don't miss an alarm.
11) a high density display: I want the watch faces to be crisp and clear (so I can get watch face of a omega sea master with a date window ;) )
12) make it vibrating

What I want from functions is actually just: Make it a good watch. Give me music control. Notifications for all Apps (I use IM, mails and RSS extensively), show me who is calling me (+decline and/or put on on silent call). I don't need to search stuff on my phone, I don't need to talk with it, I don't need to have some fancy but useless stuff like personal navigation on my watch.
I don't n

- Heart rate monitor
- Waterproof fitness accessory
- 4GB on board storage for streaming music
- Customization of interface

i see reading in direct sunlight on a lot fo these. using mirasol technology... you will be able to read the watch better in direct sunlight. as the mirasol tech uses the light around it to show its colors. more light equals more color.

Based on the promo/demo videos, I think the Moto 360 has these features:

- color display, probably Mirasol
- touchscreen
- microphone/audio input
- always listening hotword detection
- water resistance/waterproofing
- pedometer

I'm assuming it's connected via Bluetooth and uses some sort of wireless charging.

Nice lists. Make it simple so a quick glance provides all the info, and strong enough to take on water and the elements.

You hit the nail on the head for me there, but if it indeed has all that, I might be willing to go a bit over $299.

The ability to have a phone conversation I believe would be a must for me. In the winters here in South Dakota, there are many times when its almost downright impossible to dig my phone out of my coat's inside pocket, so being able to take the call on my wrist would be a definite plus.

Before this I wasn't even considering getting a smartwatch. I didn't want to look like I was wearing an old calculator watch, might as well throw in a pocket protector while I'm at it. But this looks like it would be perfectly in place with a suit at a dressy function.

IMHO, Apple's got their work cut out for them.

I would like more fashion options, if those don't exist already, like gold band and gold face

What do you want to see on Moto 360? List your requests.

My request is simple. I'd like to have a way to hide cards on the watch face without having to permanently dismiss them on both the watch and the phone or mute all notifications on the watch. Hopefully we'll see this in a future Android Wear update.

If you dismiss notifications from the phone, they should dismiss from the watch as well...thats what mine does

If you swipe down from the top and mute the watch...you temporarily hide the notifications. You can view them while muted by swiping up, or unmute the watch and they call come back up. May not work exactly as you're hoping, but it might be a work around for now.
