Here's the picture with the old app.

The phone is quicker and has a lot more options. It even has a stabilization option. Rumor has it, it's the camera app from 5.0

Agreed, camera + is better but they are very close.

Open each picture up in a new tab in your browser. Magnify to full view. Look at the difference in sharpness of the center punch hole on the booklet lying on the ottoman. Also check out the partial text just below the green band on cover of same booklet (corresponding to 14" mark on yardstick and obscured by the folded booklet.) But the real test is looking for picture sharpness and noise at the white baseboard in the background of the shot. Also looking for noise in the rectangular vertical wood pillar.

I can see no difference in the pictures of the bonsai trees.

Now....get that sucker to open with the twisting motion. I love that feature.

I went into the stock camera settings, disabled twist to open, enabled it in camera+....it still opened the original camera. So, I went into settings and disabled the original camera, went into camera+ settings to make sure that it was still enabled for twist to open - it was but the function still didn't work with camera+.

Upon further review, the shutter is indeed faster. Still not as snappy as every other phone I've owned for the past few years though. I wonder what the deal is??!

You need to not use Chrome to download (has a problem with not getting the whole file) but use either Firefox, another browser or transfer from your computer. Should be 7.1MB

Same thing happened to me, but unfortunately after downloading I got to the 'permissions' page and alas, the install button is completely unresponsive...its there as it should be but not responsive to touch

Only have a not very startling 5MP Moto g camera so I'm pretty disappointed. Haven't found anyone who's had that issue before

I was able to use the pre installed chrome on the phone and download it, it works. Seems like a quicker "shutter" speed, need to play with it more. I really wish it had the twist to launch working.
