Moto Display reply without unlocking

I have read that the Moto Displat enables you to reply to, say a text message or a WhatsApp message, without actually unlocking the phone. So far all I could do is to hold that notofication and drag it upwards to unlock and view that message or drag down to dismiss it. How do I enable my Moto Display to reply without unlocking? (Yes I have checked the setting to reply without unlocking on Moto Action app).

Well I looked around the forums and there is a thread on MZP forum regarding the new Moto display and Moto action APKs. I install those. Works great on my MZP and MZ2P. Allows you to select a specific message and reply to that message without unlocking the screen. Very handy.

Thanks, but how do you know that's what the OP was referring to and why wouldn't they have come on his phone?

That link is for a Z1.

Because he was referring to a thread that I started in the Moto Z Play forum. They are for the latest Moto Display and Actions. Those 2 files will work on all Z phones across the board.
