Hello -- been having some problems charging my battery. It is not "wireless charge" enabled.

Have tried swapping out the cable, the adaptor, tried charging from a power pack vs wall outlet. The response is inconsistent regardless of the method used.

Sometimes it will say "not charging," other times it charges very slowly (5% or less in an hour). Until recently about 90 minutes was enough to fully charge from ~50% battery.

I've tried using an app called Ampere, but all that does is confirm the battery is accepting a charge. Latest accepting is 190mA, & discharging at about twice that, 370mA.

My concern is that the battery needs to be replaced. I would prefer to do this before it has died completely.

Any advice?

Hi, welcome to AC!
Make sure your charger port clean then test this out for little bit in safe mode

"Test this out in safe mode"
What do you mean by that?
This is a diagnostic tool to go into and see if any 3rd party apps causing this or application.
Similar to computer how you put in safe mode .

Yes I understand what safe mode is, and how to start the OS in safe mode...
But what am I supposed to do in safe mode that will help me solve this problem?

It disables 3rd party applications and apps to make sure they not causing this , you just monitor to see if you still have a issue , it doesn't fix anything just troubleshoot
