Moto E4 wallpapers problem

[Android Central Question]

Brand new Verizon moto E4,unlocked,no sim installed yet.first thing I did was try to select a different wallpaper.Once I select,message appears"wallpapers had stopped"with restart option,I select and the cycle continues .If left screen goes black.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, and look for Wallpapers. Clear the cache from the app, and see if it happens again. If so, try also clearing the data from the app.
