Moto E6 dropping calls (Straight Talk)

My bf has a Motorola Moto E6 that he uses on the Straight Talk network and it keeps dropping calls on him with no warning whatsoever. It's very frustrating for him. What can he do to rectify this issue? Otherwise, he really likes this phone.

Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

Does it only happen in certain locations? If so, that could be an area of poor or unstable signal.

I don't think that's the problem because he didn't have that issue with his previous phone (Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit).

Does he use a case? If so, tell him to try using it without a case and see if the drops still occur. Some poorly designed cases can interfere with signal.

Lately my Moto e has been doing quirky things. For example. When I call out, the phone will beep a few times and then disconnect entirely. I'll go to repeat the process and the phone will work fine.

Update: He went to a Samsung A01 until it bit the dust recently. Then he got a Motorola Moto E (2020 version). The calls still drop on this phone just like they did on the E6. He is NOT using a case on this Motorola phone. Any help you all can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

I still think it may be a signal issue. Tell him to install GSam Battery Monitor, then review the cell signal strength graph on a day where he experiences drops.
