Hi,

I have this problem with the phone that the applications don't fit correctly in the screen. They are too big and the corners are cut. The images are from Whatsapp and Vinted app. I have the same problem with all the other apps as well (Google included).

As System Navigation I use Gesture, with the Navigation bar disabled.

In Settings > Full screen: it doesn't make any difference if this is enabled or disabled (rebooted the phone every time I changed this setting), for any application, apps are all at the latest update.

OS: Android 14
Ooriginal OS, original apps from Play Store, no custom OS/root

I've used Xiaomi and Poco with the same settings and there was no problem. How can I solve this without having to turn on the Navigation bar?

Welcome to Android Central! I think that's an app developer issue, so send feedback to all of those devs (including screenshots if possible).

Curious that it happens with Google apps -- is that first screenshot of Google Messages? (Doesn't look like it when I compare with my device.) I'm trying to see if any Google apps do that on my Galaxy A32 5G, which is the device I have with the most pronounced rounded corners.

thanks for the answer.
The first photo is Whatsapp. And yes, it happen with all the apps, including Google Apps.
What I also noticed, is that the glass of the screen is ~2 mm wider compared to the display. Means, when the screen is on, there's a visible black frame around it until the edge of the phone. Also the screenprotectors are of size of the display, not the glass, resulting in an upleasant edge. If you notice in the pictures is clear, the screen protection is smaller than the actual glass.
I don't think that these are correlated, but it seems to, like if the app resizing is using the border of the glass instead of the display.

I was thinking to contact the developers, but who? Android? Tha apps developers? Motorola? Google?
If the app, I'll need to contact ALL the app developers.

Hmm -- I wonder if Moto designed it such that the curved corner bezel actually overlies the true screen underneath -- essentially a lazy way to create curved display corners. In that case, you could also contact Moto support: https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/mcp/contactus
You explained it perfectly. It is exactly how it feels.
I'll contact them and see what they reply (if any)
