I'm just now getting the Lollipop 22.21.28 update pushed to my moto g 2014 GSM USA model! About time too

Quick reminder--geographic location doesn't matter regarding when you get the update (at least, not within the same country).

Unless your cable freezes - you don't know Long Island. You don't normally have ice-laden tree boughs snap your internet cable in California.

I just updated my dad's Moto G to 5.0.2 today. He has the US version (gave it to him for Christmas) and he lives in Queens, NY. And yes, this was OTA.

Still no OTA for my Moto G 2014 that I purchased from Amazon.com on 12/9/2014 and received on 12/12/2014.

I am still on 4.4.4 and am getting impatient. I tried to sideload the OTA, but can't access the internal storage when I am in recovery mode because the phone is encrypted. I can't sideload using adb because the phone isn't seen by the PC when connected with the USB cable in recovery mode. The PC sees the device fine when connected with the USB cable when the phone is operating in its normal mode.

Copy the OTA zip to internal storage when you phone is fully booted and then restart the phone and go into recovery mode. At that point you can sideload from sdcard (this can be internal storage or an actually SD card if you have one), just navigate to where you saved the OTA.

I have the US GSM XT1064 with system 21.11.17. Since October 2014 I have been waiting foir an OTA update. Do you have this system as well?

Already tried this. It can't access the storage because the phone is encrypted.

CORRECTION to below: It is 3:34pm here on the East Coast. The OTA just came to my phone now. So for US GSM XT1064 on system 21.11.17 (on Tmobile) there is now an OTA rolling out for Lolipop 5.0.2 with system 22.21.28. Looks like this is rolling out to more and more folks today Jan 22.


Still waiting on my end (US GSM XT1064 with system 21.11.17). Been waiting since end of Oct 2014 for any kind of OTA. Got nothing as of today. I sort of don't care any more. I was worried early on because of the memory management/apps closing bug. However, for the apps on my phone and my use of greenify app, I do not encounter any performance issues at all. So I am happy with the phone now as is. Also, I have Lolipop on my Tablet and while its nice to have something new, its more hype than of use. For example, I don't see much of a performance improvement other than fancier animations. And the battery life did not improve at all.

Overall the amount of hype coupled with the poor testing/buggy releases from both Google and Motorola have been very disappointing over the past several months. Eveytime I get an update to an app like Assist or Google now, etc it ends up breaking something and I have to uninstall.

So I SPAMmed the software update button a second time this morning and it finally said an update is available. I am downloading the 22.21.28 OTA now. It's about time!

Besides the Assist Driving Mode bug with the latest version of the Google Search app, what else broke?
