Moto G (3rd gen): The back (shell) is hard to take off

Just got my phone and I love it! I am concerned about how difficult the back is to take off though.

I almost ripped my nail off trying to get it off. Anyone else notice this? I had an LG G4 before this and it was 50x easier to take off.

Yes. The Moto backs are more difficult to get off than the LG or Samsung backs. You get used to it.

Yeah its a nightmare to take off the back cover off Motorola phones. Either am afraid i might break my nails or the cover. Surely there must be an easier way for Motorola to design the back cover?

It's water resistant...it's good that it's hard to take off.

Mine comes off easily.
