Moto G 4th Generation Bluetooth issues

Just purchased a Moto G 4th Generation from Amazon. Cannot link contacts phone book to our 2015 Mazda CX-5. Connects fine, but calls flip back and forth from phone to car, in spite numerous attempts to upload phone book, still fails. Deleted device, reset Mazda bluetooth, tried blueooth phonebook app........ say successfully uploaded but nothing there. Contacts are on phone, not SD card......help anyone?
