i am using a moto g 16 gb. initially battery life was good. but than suddenly phone started heating up and battery life even in idle mode went down to 6 hours. and charging takes a hell lot of time. yesterday i activated safe mode, and the battery consistency returned and no heating problem. but i want a solution in normal mode with all apps accessible.

what the best way to re-calibrate battery I charged it last night and after 16hrs its gone from 100 to 66% is this normal.

other then the standard apps running I only have swiftkey and whatsapp running.

Hi, I can no longer turn on Battery Saver - it goes off again immediately by itself. I have uninstalled all utilities that might be taking over control of this and still it will not turn on. Can anyone help before I have to do a reset? thanks a lot. Moto G 1st gen Kitkat 4.4.4

This happens when you disable Motorola Assist. The battery saver main action (if not the only one) is to stop background processes when your battery reaches the 15% of charge.

Thanks! Yes, I did do that as it was using a fair bit of battery and I thought it was for contextual services which I am not using. Now it has disappeared - it is no longer in my apps list. Can you advise me how to get it back? Thanks, Colin

Glad it helped. To find the apps that are disabled there's is an easier way. Go to settings - apps and swipe to the left until you find the tab. If I remember right the order is downloaded, running, all and disabled.
