Moto G cuts out during calls

Hi all,
I've got a Moto G, which is fab phone for the price, but I've had repeated problems with the model cutting out during phone calls, but being ok on speakerphone...so i'm talking, then the person on other end can't hear me, i put it on speakerphone and all ok....is this a bug? any thoughts as to how I can sort it? thanks

Update to the latest OS Version and then report back, if you are already on the latest version OS try adjusting sound equalizer settings
