Is the waiting a month new? I thought previous phones could be used as long as they've been used with an active prepaid SIM.

I could have remembered that it was one month, but not really sure. What I do know is that it must be activated on prepaid plan first or the line would be hotlined (stop working all together until you call in and activate another device)
