Moto G: Unable to select 3G option

Hi.. Got my MOTO G last week.. bt m unable to select 3G as the prefered network type. I untick 2G but da moment i go back it again logs in 2G mode. I got Android 4.4.1 update yesterday n stil I m facing da same problem. I use Tata Docomo from last 1yr in my Galaxy tab and never faced ds problem. I use Sim 1 slot. Moto Care guys r unable to solve ds. tried *#*#4636#*#* to change network type bt m allowed only GSM only option. briefly I selected unknown and was getting 3G option bt it went off later.. Pls help me.

What you do is put it in Airplane Mode....and then restart ur phone....fixed my issue with the 2G/3G issue.....

we cant do factory reset everytime, what is the other way out ?

Looks like you're using a dual sim phone. In that case maybe the problem is an easy one. You can use 3G in just one sim, so go to the other sim configurations and make sure that 2G is selected. Then go to the sim you want to use with 3G and select it. I think this time it will work.
