Moto G4 & Ford Sync

Hi all,

According to the Ford Sync website, the Moto X and other Motorola phones are supported but not the Moto G.

Is that really true? If so, what is it that makes them incompatible? Something hardware-related or software-related?

I have Verizon as my carrier if that makes a difference.

Unless there's been a firmware change in the Sync software my parent's Ford has, my Moto G4 works great with it.

in fact, my g4 plus would connect over my wife's iphone 6s, even though her phone was set as primary, and further away.
