Moto G4 plus ghosting and overheating could it be a battery problem?

I've been wondering if my Moto G4 plus ghosting and overheating could it be a battery problem? I've looked at how to swap batteries and although it's complicated it's certainly doable just wondering if anyone else has had experience in this. I've been so happy with this phone bid in the last 6 months the ghosting has got to me and made the phone on usable unless I keep it in the fridge.

If by ghosting, you mean screen burn-in, no. That's a physical change in the screen, and can only be "fixed" by replacing the screen.

Overheating can be caused by many different problems, so the phone has to go to a repair shop for diagnosis.
