Moto G4 still no Nougat in U.S.

I bought a Moto G4 on Amazon and its still says my phone is up to date running M. I thought N was being pushed through in December January time frame?

You are asking in the wrong area... this area is for the Moto G 2015, or G3, which isn't getting the Nougat update at all.

That said, I haven't heard of any US G4 models getting the Nougat, but the Amazon ones use a special ROM, so they probably will be the last to get it. Lenovo isn't known for their quick roll-outs of updates across all geographical regions. From what I can see, Europe just started getting in the last 48 hours. Australia and India got it in January, then nothing for almost 2 months... not sure what to tell you but don't expect it anytime soon.

Wow, sorry for the extremely avoidable noob fail on the thread location. Thanks for your reply, but I will remain hopeful. Then will most likely be let down months later, staring at the screen pressing "system updates". Cheers to blind hope!
