Moto G5 Plus or Used Samsung Galaxy Note 5?

Hey guys,

I am currently looking for a backup phone. I have these two phones in my mind right now, which is the Moto G5 and Note 5 (used).

For the Note 5, how's the performance if compared to Moto G5? is still worth buying in mid 2017? I can get the Note 5 at the same or slightly less price than the G5.

Or perhaps there are other similar phones with good performance within the price range? (approx US$300)

Hello!

Great question with 2 great options! I'm just a huge Moto fan, so i'm going to push the G5 Plus more. While the Note 5 isn't a bad device at all, the software updates haven't cultivated the best android experience and battery life combination. The G5 plus allows for a buttery smooth stock experience with some very unique features and tweaks. I just believe performance and battery wise you will be much better off.

I'll just chime in with this tid bit....
The wife has a vzw note 5 n-920v.
The battery life greatly improved with the installation of nougat .
