Moto G5 weak signal

My Moto G5 doesn't receive a good signal usually 1 bar have to move near a window or door to use it I'm in a bad area for signal anyway. On my previous phones I could use them thru out the house my daughter has a G7 it's the same way my question is would it help to unlock my bootloader for better signal I'm aware of the risks and it will void my warranty just looking at my options thanks

What's the exact model number of your G5, and which carrier are you using? Are you using a case?

Unlocking your bootloader will not change your signal reception in any way.

What model specifically? What carrier? What signal type (LTE or GSM or CDMA)? If you install an app like LTE Discovery, what is your dBm signal level?

Yeah I agree bootloader won't change anything except wipe your phone .

So you're on Boost Mobile, but can you still tell us the exact model number of the phone (in Settings>About Phone)? The reason I ask is that some phone variants might not support the carrier's network bands fully, and therefore give you worse signal.
