Moto G6 - Unable to access Recovery Mode

G6 has gone beserk. The initial Moto startup screen image flashes briefly (without animation), turns off (black), then startup screen image flashes, then black, and so on, repeatedly. Pressing power button will restart the phone with startup animation but right back to startup screen flashes then off. I cannot access the Android recovery mode by pressing power and volume buttons. Have done many searches but cannot find any clues. Folks, any ideas? Thanks

Could be a failing battery, or some connection with the battery. You'd probably have to bring it to a repair shop, unless you feel comfortable taking phones apart.

Can you navigate to safe mode to factory reset ?

No, can’t get into safe mode cause screen just flashes on/off.

Try another Sim card...a bad one can make a phone go nuts. I replaced one that only needed a new Sim...live & learn.

See on XDA forums you can get some ideas , if not might have to take to repair center
