Moto g7 power freezing

[Android Central Question]

I have had my Moto g7 power for two years and been very happy with it but recently the screen has started freezing, sometimes on an app. I tried to uninstall Chrome thinking that was the problem but it didn't appear to work. I'm not very tech savvy and would appreciate any help!

Welcome to Android Central! When it freezes, do you have to force a shutdown and then restart? Or is it just the app that freezes, and you can get back to the homescreen?
