Hey there everyone.

After careful consideration ( and months of waiting for a sale ), I've decided to get the Moto Turbo 2014. Some of my doubts are as follows,

1. How long does Moto plan to keep updating the phone?
2. What version of android does it have now?
3. Is it worth going for it this year?

Thanks for your time everyone.

Moto sucks at updating this phone. It still has Lollipop. Two versions behind the current one. I've had the Turbo since release day in 2014 and still think it is one of the best available for hardware, looks and durability. The problem is neither moto or Verizon ever supported it properly.

All true but still, an awesome phone especially for someone looking for a premium device @ a bargain price.

1. It's supposed to get Marshmallow.

2. It came with Kit Kat and is now on Lollipop.

3. It's still a great device. Is it worth it? Depends on what you pay for it. There are some people in the Moto Play Z forum that have gotten the Play Z for $212, using a promotion code.

Although the updates have been abandoned (not announced officially yet) from Verizon the best option to get updated OS is to unlock the bootloader in just 25$ and flash the custom marshmallow roms.
If you want stock then there are two stock marshmallow roms that can be flashed.
CM13 has been released and work is in progress for CM14 for droid Turbo.
