any word on if we will see the moto x+1 today/tomorrow at Google I/O? or will we be waiting until september...

Google IO won't release anything on it I bet. But who knows we will soon find out!

Motorola (not some random leak) already said that the successor to the Moto X is scheduled for a "late Summer" release.
