Moto X 2014 Buying through MotoMaker with Verizon Business account

Any chance you know what sku they used?
I'm sorry I don't. It was long, started with "Moto" and ended with a "32", most likely referring to the 32gb model I ordered.

Just stopped into a store and they were able to order it for me using a SKU he had to look up. I've received my PIN and will be ordering on Moto Maker now!

Ah, I almost want to cry lol. I just got off the phone with Moto/Verizon for over an hour ...still no pin code. Same 24-48 business hour wait...probably still won't get anywhere. I'm going to call Verizon back and see if the SKU they ordered it with was the same as yours. Maybe that has something to do with why I'm not getting one.

Edit: Yes, the correct SKU was used. Why does it seem only I am having these problems. I guess it's my luck but damn I've never been through this much trouble for anything. It better be worth the wait. I almost wanna just cancel it and get the DROID Turbo but I like the exterior look of the X better.

Amazing. I call their motomaker support line and no one answers.

I'm on with tech chat right now and they just said:

This is a reported issue with our website, due to heavy traffic we are experiencing difficulties. We have an estimate time for resolution of 1-2 hours. Try again in 1-2 hours.

So I'm going to bed (working night shift) and then I'll try ordering tonight!
 
I got my PIN too. I got the walnut back which adds $25. I try to enter my credit card info but it's saying "there was an error processing your credit card." I chatted with moto support and apparently they're having credit card processing issues at the moment.

What a pain the **** this process has been :)

I had that issue too. The Moto live chat walked me through some steps and eventually got it to go through. I had to delete all the cookies on my Chrome browser, then it worked fine.
 
I've just been told there is "literally no way" for me to process my order until Motorola IT fixes their credit card processing error. I tried getting her to wave the $26 charge for the Walnut backing so I could actually finish the order without using a credit card but she said they don't do that. I finagled a $50 accessory promo code out of her.

I swear, Motorola loves shooting itself in the foot.

I have an upgrade i was planning on using, but after I verify my verizon account info, it is asking me to do a credit check. I talked to motorola and they said that it shouldn't be prompting me to do a credit check since I selected existing customer and use my upgrade. They said I needed a pin # from Verizon. I then chatted with Verizon who just won't help me at all. They wont allow me to get a pin # and told me to just do the credit check. Has any one had this happen to them? If so did you just give up or did you find a work around?

From what I understand, the MotoMaker site simply won't work if you're a business customer. You need to first order the phone (SKU) through Verizon which will provide you will a PIN for MotoMaker.

The PIN you're talking about should be the password for your Verizon account.

Verizon has the pins for Motomaker. They can read it right off your account to you over the phone, they did it for me (after a few tries).
 
Sorry I didnt see that this was for business accounts. I have a cold so my brain isn't working like it should. I'll go ahead and post under another one. The sad thing is I did verify all my information with my VZW pin #.

She's still having issues or has she gotten them to order her one?

She finally got it all straightened out after the Verizon rep verbally told her the pin to use. Should be here in 3 weeks.
