Moto X 2014 Hows the signal strength?

So compared to your previous device hows the signal strength for the new moto x? Not just the "bars" but the db's if possible.

My 2014 X won't arrive until tomorrow but when I was in the local VZW store I did some comparisons to my OG X and they were only off by about 1 dBm. So I would say they should likely be extremely similar. I'll know more after tomorrow.

anywhere from three to ten percent better from old moto x to new. i swapped my sims out in several different places. in the worst signal area is where it did the best. my mother cannot hardly make phone calls from her basement on her iphone 4 (external antennas). my old motox would place calls... but would have intermittent issues. the new moto... places a call and rarely stutters.

to give a comparison of the percentages i have on my widget... whenever i have full bars... i might hit 50-52% if i am lucky. usually full strength gives me somewhere in the 45% range. at my mothers, the old moto got 14% and the new was 20+. the exact numbers are on a post in the moto support forums. so those few percentage points means a lot more than it sounds.

Spent about 10 minutes comparing my old X to new X store model and the new X consistently had better signal strength .

It appears to be better than my Nexus 5. LTE was spotty in my house with the Nexus. I have between 2 and 4 bars of LTE now.
