Has anyone else had their Moto X address them as "2" when opening the Moto app directly? If I use Moto Voice and my activation phrase, the phone greets me with my name (if it uses my name, sometimes it just says, "Yes?") However, if I open the Moto app directly from the app drawer, it always refers to me as "2". I could have sworn I saw a thread about this before, but couldn't find it so here we are.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Can't say that I've seen that. Perhaps it thongs you are Ricky Gervais from the latest Muppets film... Or William Riker?

I have noticed an unusually high amount of misspellings with the word "thongs" lately! lol

Yes. This. Exactly. I can't figure out why it's doing it. Something in the back of my head says in the foggy Internet past someone mentioned it had to do with whether or not you have your own entry in the contacts/People app, and I do. I haven't tried deleting my own entry to see if that changes anything.

Mine did that for a a few hours. Best I can tell is that it was still updating everything from Google. Once everything was synced up, it went straight to using my name. Give it a day or so. It should straighten itself out.

Think I may have found the solution. Google Play never showed any updates for the Moto app, but if I searched manually for "Moto" it brought up the app and indicated it had an update available. The update fixed the problem, and the Moto app now greets me by name when I open it directly from the app drawer.
