Greetings all.
I don't know enough to interpret these readings from LTE Discovery app.
Could somebody with knowledge explain what these reading mean?
Specifically: Cell level: ?
If more info is needed I'll post other info.
TIA

Re: LTE Discovery

I'm guessing that app allow you to discover LTE cell towers and it found a few. For me, a signal strength of -85dBm can be considered 4-5 bars and very good. Above -100dBm is acceptable, but won't get you the best throughput. -105dBm or lower tends to be 1 to 2 bars and not very good speed and lower than that is when your signal will began to cut out.

Re: LTE Discovery

You can ask the app developer your questions, he responds to emails that are sent to him.

Thanks for the heads up. It's more than I knew.
Regarding Cell level, I'm wondering if it refers to Cat. 4?
that would make it very interesting to me.
TIA
EDIT: As suggested, I sent an email to the apk author.

Re: LTE Discovery

No, cell level is something else and related to how the tower work. You should ask the app dev to explain it.

Cat.4 LTE simply means it have a download capability of 150Mbps.

Re: LTE Discovery

Just a heads up:
Got a prompt reply from apk author: Cell level refers to signal strength 0-4 with 4 being strongest.
Thanks for your suggestions, help.
