I ordered fairly early Tuesday. (I COULD have ordered on Monday evening, but was hoping Verizon would jump in at the last minute).

When I first went to order, it said expected ship date was 9/26. Then when I went back a few minutes later it had dropped to 9/23. So I ordered and it finally said a ship date of 9/19 to 9/23. Today it changed to 9/23 to 9/25. This is a simple black phone on AT&T through a corporate discounted program.

We don't even have a Verizon store in Anchorage until tomorrow morning, but they seem to be cheaper (and have better coverage in the Lower 48) than AT&T. The change in shipping date came with a "Cancel Preorder" button, but it sounds like Verizon won't get these until 9/25? and I wanted the phone fast because I'm going on a road trip soon. (I'm currently using a dumbphone)

Sweet! This means the flood gates will soon open! Maybe I will see mine before the 13th. Either way its exciting to get a new toy. Been almost 2 years for me!

For comparison's sake, what time did you order yours, and with what customizations?

I completed my order before 1pm EDT on Tuesday, Walnut back 32GB Pure Edition, estimated delivery 9/26, and I haven't seen any updates yet.

ordered 16th at 1:47 pm cst. assembling email at 11:06pm on wednesday the 17th. i suspect it will be shipped soon. estimated the 26th. hoping to get it before.

Ordered mine today 9-19-14. 32 gig Pure Edition with leather back. The extra storage space moved me back from the 7th of October to the 16th. I am OK with that. Motomaker kept trying to switch me back to 16 gig though. POsted my OPO on ebay today. Have an HTC X8 that I will use in the interim. Couldn't resist the leather back. Gonna miss the OPO.

I got the "We are assembling it" email also just a few hours ago. I finally got my order through on Thursday the 18th (was waiting for Moto Credit to work).

Black front, bamboo, bronze accents, 32 GB, Pure Edition

Just to update my original question -
Received the "We're assembling it" notice this evening.

Originally scheduled for 9/26. Black, walnut, gold trim, 16GB Pure.

I placed an order this morning for a 32GB leather backed Pure Edition. Estimated delivery date of 10/13. Just got the We Are Assembling it email tonight.

Ordered before 1pm on the 16th. Estimated delivery of 9/26. Got email last night that they are assembling it. Delivery date hasn't changed.

I got an email last night that they are assembling it. Still shows an October 13 delivery. I hope that moves up to next week. It shouldn't take 3 weeks to assemble and ship.

Same thing for me! Fingers crossed we get them much sooner than the 13th! (Given that some people w/delivery on the 26th also just got the 'being assembled' e-mail I think the odds are good.)

Me too with the 32GB purple/black/purple! I'm hoping the purple looks as good as the navy/black/blue X I have now. Sadly my delivery date is still Oct. 13, even though I've gotten the "it's being assembled" email.
