Moto x(2nd gen) ear speaker went silent

[AC Question]

So yesterday (June 25th) my phone worked fine. when I tried to call someone later that night at about 11 it wasn't working. I can only hear what someone is saying when I put them on speaker phone. I'm not sure what to do and no one seems to have an answer

Hey there !

I've tried (almost) every other fixes i found on the net but in vain. My ear speaker just didn't work until i found a xda-developers forum post (sorry i can't add links) and one of the comment suggested something:

"Someone over in the Motorola forums suggested checking to see if hearing aid compatibility was enabled in the settings of the dialer, and disabling it if it was."

And it worked for me. So here's what I did:

1. Tap/Open the dialer app
2. Tap on the 3 vertical dots from the top right corner and Tap/Select Settings
3. Tap/Select Calls
4. Uncheck Hearing aids (Turn on hearing aid compatibility) option

And Voilà !!! That did the trick. Ear speaker now working perfectly.

I checked this also, and it was not selected, and still no internal speake sound.

Hey Thanks, the solution worked for me!

I upgraded my Moto G 2nd gen to 6.0 and encountered a problem with calling. When I called or answered a call, I couldn't hear any audio from the ear piece and the other person can't hear me. I cleared the cache from recovery twice but it didn't fix it.
