Moto X camera vs. M8

Hey guys. I'm looking to possibly pick up a Moto X to replace my M8. I was just wondering how the camera compares. I know the Moto X camera isn't great but would you say it's better than the M8's? Thanks!

The camera update did help but I'm finding an intermittent issue where the camera won't focus until I go to the gallery and come back. I'm happy with the pics I've gotten though.
