I have not experienced this, let's try and rule out, are you all on lollipop? Which version?

(I'm still on 4.4.4)

Probably a very common issue with the Moto X.

Yes I keep having this happen to me. I've had it happen a lot while in Bacon Reader (reddit). Other apps have this too I just can't remember the others right now.

Yeah, I get this in some apps too. Using Pure Edition lollipop 5.0 XT1092

I have a Motorola Store Moto X 2014 pure edition and this has been happening since I got the phone, really doesn't bother me and I didn't bother trying to get a replacement from Motorola because I doubt 1) I would get a new phone, not a refurbished one and 2) probably would be the same thing.

The same happens in my Moto G. In the Android Central app it always does that when going back to an article after reading the comments. With Gsam it's something similar when going back from the apps usage, but it's not always. I have the free version and found that the problem is related to some specific ads (those ones with a flashing message).

Wow, I since switched to the Galaxy Note 4 since that, poor battery life, and non expandable memory became a deal breaker. The Moto X 2014 is still a great device though.

I get this kind of static noise pattern sometimes when I use GSAM battery monitor.

I've noticed this as well, I get those staticy "old TV" looking images all over the screen whenever I open GSAM battery monitor. I've noticed it in Chrome, and a few various other apps. I assumed it was a Lollipop bug (my recently replaced Moto X 2013 never did this on Kit Kat), but maybe it is specific to Moto's implementation of 5.0.
