Moto X: Location icon

Just curious if the location icon is suppose to stay on in the status bar. On my Samsung it was not there unless I was using navigation ?

I should of also mentioned a reboot makes it go away but as soon as I use GPS and then exit the location icon stays on

Yeah the location icon is only supposed to be on the status bar when the GPS is in use. Sometimes apps in the background use the GPS but I've never encountered a phone that has it all the time. Especially a Moto X.

I know it's a painful process, but I would try doing a factory reset.

I agree it's definitely an app running the GPS. How long as it been happening?

It's a running app. Happens to me. I have to go into the running apps menu and force stop the culprit
