Moto X - LTE on/off question....

The Default is :
Settings>more>Mobile networks>Network Mode>Global
Some people switch theirs to :Settings>more>Mobile networks>Network Mode>LTE/CDMA. tho.
I leave mine on default ,just my preference.

I'm referring to the HTC LTE onOff app

That looks like an app specific to the HTC thunderbolt, you trying to use it on a Moto X?

I caution everyone against using this app. By monkeying with the app's settings (toggling between radios), I fried the phone part of my X. Data works fine, but somehow the phone function died. Been working with VZW to fix the problem for 2.5 hours so far and no resolution in sight

This app only does what the menus let you do anyway, with the exception of 3G only. Also your phone is changing bands constantly. I would venture to guess 100's of thousands of people have used this app on various phones with no issues. Maybe you just have a phone with a bad radio?

Disregard. this was my error monkeying with an app that I dont know anything about. Somehow i switched it from "cellular" to "USA band." Not sure what those mean but that was the cause. I am back in action.

I have looked at the other items but never messed with them to much. I find this strange as whenver you reset your phone it will go back to the settings of one of those 3 pre-defined scenarios. You cannot stay on 3G only through a reset using that tool.
