Ars Technica has some great comparison pics of the 2014 Moto X vs the 2013 Moto X, iPhone 5S, Nexus 5, and other current phones. Review: In its second generation, the Moto X becomes a true flagship | Ars Technica

Those comparisons are not impressive at all, in my opinion. This doesn't bode well for the new Moto X's camera. They look like they lack some serious color. Am I mistaken?

I think you're correct. Unfortunately, I just decided to pass on the Moto x soly due to the camera. I wanted to pre-order, but i think I'll just stick the S5 until something better comes out.

No, I agree but we also have to see know what settings this person was using. I can't remember what I'm using on my current Moto X but the way to brighten and dull the shades could be used here to make a better picture.

I would hate to see them not fix the camera after the 2013 version was so poor. I understand that they wanted costs to be down but this was a gripe from literally every person who owned the phone. They even did like 3 software updates for the camera so even they knew about it.

Pretty disheartening.
