Moto Z Force "Freezing up"

[AC Question]

- My Moto Z Force constantly freezes. When it freezes, sometimes it'll unfreeze itself in around 5 minutes (an eternity when you need your phone for something important), sometimes it'll reboot itself, and sometimes I have to hold the power button to force a reboot.

It happens when if I remove the Tumi battery, if I re-attach the Tumi battery, if I turn the WiFi off, if I walk out of range of a WiFi router. Those seem to be easiest to duplicate, although at times it'll just freeze when using an app (opening the camera, for example).

This is my second Z force, replaced just yesterday (replaced by Verizon) due to the issues above happening with my original phone. So it's clearly not a hardware issue.

The phone is not rooted.

Can someone help before I take a sledge hammer to it and buy a Samsung? I really like the way the phone performs when it's not frozen....

I have same issue! And only had it for a week now. It's driving me nuts. It updated to nougat the day after I got it so I don't know if that is why but I already set up the phone & want to avoid doing a factory reset. Read it doesn't help anyways.

If your phone is under warranty, I recommend returning it and either opting for a new Moto phone or getting anotjer device of your choosing. Sorry about the issues you all are experiencing!
