Moto Z2 Force Edition won't download to Ford Sync

[Android Central Question]

I've been using my Moto Z2 Force Edition successfully for over a year now with my 2017 Ford Fusion's Sync. Last week I rented a 18 Fusion and synced it without trouble, but it would not download the phonebook. When I got home and resynced my phone to my car, it would not download the phonebook there either. The phone and media still work but I have to use the "Dial" and say the numbers to get it to make a call.

Does anyone else have this problem and what can I do to fix mine?

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Bluetooth, tap the gear icon next to the car system, and make sure Contact Sharing is turned on.
