Android Central Question

I presently have a Motorola Z2 Force. It does most everything that I need, BUT the battery is failing. It likes to shut off for no apparent reason. I have the Moto Mod aux battery and it will even shut off at times with this connected.

It looks like the battery can be replaced for a modest fee, but I'm thinking maybe replace it. Primary use is phone. Secondary is camera, next being email and web surfing. No games just a working man's phone. While I prefer a DSLR for pictures the phone is just so handy that it's become my go to. Google Pixel is intriguing, but many complaints about poor reception. Looking at the Moto G power or Moto G Stylus. Stylus would be handy to have for making notes. Stylus has better camera, but on the main camera I'd lose the ultra wide angle. Is this a factor? My current phone has plenty wide almost too wide anyhow.

I don't need fancy flagship models but would pay up if necessary. My phones typically last many years, in fact the Z2 is the first to crap out in 3 years time.

Oh yeah must be CDMA

OK I'm the OP here. Just couldn't find login. I need to have a phone that follows Verizon. I'm on with Cellcom at present. Been running with the same system since 1998. I could try an Edge I guess if I found a good deal. Razor is too new and not sue about the folding screen.

I've had every generation of Pixel phone except for the 4, and have never had issues with reception. Granted, I'm on T-Mobile, so I can't comment on Pixel phones on Verizon. Have you seen complaints about Pixels specifically on Verizon?

I've never had reception issues with Pixel and Verizon... I have a great phone for you to replace your Z Force.. Great pics.. long battery.. reliable.. if you look on Swappa you can get new ones for good price if not going thru carrier..

LG V60

Edit just checked Swappa no new right now..

I would recommend a pixel, they're very similar to the moto phones as far as a clean Android experience....no bloatware to speak of. A lot of Moto users switch for that very reason, including me. No adjustment period at all.... everything works just like your used to. And you'll get the best updates in the business, unlike Moto phones where updates are like unicorns... non-existent lol.

Well it sounds like I can replace my Moto Z with a Pixel 4A using my protection plan. That or Moto G Power or Samsung S10E. I really thought I wanted the Pixel 5 though. Might see if I can pay up a bit to get the 5.

They don't offer upgrades to my knowledge. Which company is your insurance through?
