Motoblur and remote wipe?

Hello - I am an android newbie (after years on Blackberry and Symbian) so this might be a dumb question but here it goes:

Both my wife and I have Droid 2 Globals, updated to the latest firmware. Her phone has a Motoblur Setup application that includes a remote wipe feature. Mine does not. I know Motoblur is not exactly loved around here, but the remote wipe feature would be handy.

So the question is if the D2G is supposed to have this Motoblur feature and if yes, how I can restore mine and, it not, why does my wife's phone have it and will it work?

Are you saying she has an app in the app drawer? If so, what is the exact name of it.
If not give more detail.

Yes, she has a red Moto Blur icon titled "Moto Blur Settings." When she clicks on it she gets a prompt to sign-up for Moto Blur.

FWIW, I was on the phone with Verizon tech support the other day about an unrelated matter and I took the chance to ask about this. The Verizon rep was surprised like that and had no idea what it was for but suggested it wouldn't work (the D2G is not a Moto Blur device) and the app could be deleted.
