Some like it, but also thank God they got rid of the hardware buttons in favor of capacitive.
I 100% second this!!! I am so sick of the physical buttons on my DX, when I was playing with my wife's DINC I was quite jealous.

It will be the top device for a few months but in the year I plan rom owning it I doubt it will fall on its face. Just hoping we see some sort of dualcore support. Throughout the os. Sooner rather than later or this nvidia chips power would be wasted
I can't wait to get this phone. It will be my first Android!
If you plan on gaming at all then this device's power won't be wasted. Nvidia already said they will have a Tegra 2 game store for it.
As far as OS tweaks, I'm sure that'll come out eventually.
I'm excited about the specs but for one crucial item: the form factor. I don't want to handle something that large. One of the attractive factors for the Droid and Droid 2 is the forma factor: it's right on the sweet spot.
I was worried about that same issue when I first got my DX, but now I couldn't go to anything smaller
Agreed. I think like most anything you just get used to it.
Agreed. I couldn't fo anything smaller now its the perfect size.
But I also want to see the Bionic and Atrix run side by side and see if there will be a huge difference between the 1 GB or ram and the 512.
The problem has to do with the PMU and causes a variety of issues including severe overheating even while at idle, power fluctuations affecting RF performance and cold boot issues.
These things were told to me by someone who is testing the devices. I have no hands on experience myself.
If you want to believe me that's fine...if not...that's fine too.
I have no intention of disclosing or discussing anything about my sources.
Satisfying people's curiosity on internet forums is utterly worthless compared to their trust and my continued ability to have access to them.
If the reasons why aren't plainly obvious to you then I needn't bother explaining...sorry.
Just posted by cellzealot at Howard forums hope motorola can fix this flaw
In terms of speed, RAM only comes into play when it becomes deficient. So as long as there is enough, which 512 certainly is. There will be no difference.I'd bet money you won't see a difference. The added RAM is for the webtop functionality.
BGR has info on the new Droid X; can someone explain why a new "X?" What is the difference between it and the Bionic; it seems as though it would be the next generation?
If they have the same screen, processor, and size, why have both of them; it seems redundant to me? If the X2 had more improvements, I could understand, but if it has the same specs as the Bionic??It's a "Droid" line phone from Moto that has the same size screen and a similar form factor to the DX. It's just the next tech from Moto.
