current razr maxx OG owner with unlimited data. Since i dont know how much longer i would want to be with Verizon outright phone is my best option and the mini is the right price.. as much as im a MAXX fan.. 620 is just a little too much.. 400 much more doable.

I found some posts on battery life on here but no one was really saying how long it lasts..

Long story short what kind of battery life are you guys getting???

my current phone lasts from around 7 AM to about 10pm - all night. depends on usage

I can charge my phone at work no problem

The droid Mini's battery life is obviously subject to how you use it, but I take mine off the charger at 7am and by the time it goes back on (midnight?) Its usually still holding around 50%-60% of a charge. Ive let it sit overnight after a long day uncharged and it still had 30-35% left in the morning.

FYI, I might be a lighter user..my phone usually streams Google music for 1-2 hours a day with maybe 30-60 minutes of web browsing, random text messaging/emailing and 15-30 minutes calling.

I just got my significant other a Mini to replace her Galaxy 2.

She's a lighter user than I am, but seems to get similar battery life to my Droid Maxx (which is just too big for her hands).

On an average day, my Mini goes from about 7am to 10pm, and usually has around 20% left in the tank. That usually includes around 1 hour of wifi-tethering, along w/ texting, a few calls, maybe 30 - 60 mins browsing, and random app usage.

Yesterday I had the wifi hotspot going for about 2 hours, used Maps for about 30 mins, did some texting, had a few phone calls, random browsing, lots of app updating -- phone lasted from 6am to 10:30pm before dying. Coming from a Gnex, I'm pretty happy. I now use my Gnex as a dedicated GPS unit.

What's your screen on time?

Thanks everyone!
can anyone give me any more info?

Maybe a screen shot?

Mostly web browsing, a dozen or so emails during the day, some texts, YouTube & play music for about 10 minutes each. You should be able to make it through the day if you're looking for around 4 hours of on-screen time.

I'm in the same boat. I'm going to be upgrading in a couple weeks after 2 years with my OG Razr Maxx, and I am going to keep with the Droid line. I know the Droid Maxx's battery will last as long as I want it to, but the phone is even larger than this phone. The Razr Maxx is pretty much the limit of what I want to carry in my pocket.

That brings the Droid Mini to the top. It has the same size screen that I'm used to, bundled into a smaller phone. I'm hoping someone here has upgraded in the same way, and I am looking for a comparison of the battery life after the upgrade. My Razr Maxx can easily go a full day right now, and up to the evening of the second day (if need be).

My typical day might have 1-2 hours of screen time, and a max of maybe 4-5 hours on a slow day on campus/at work. It mostly includes texting, Facebook, internet, e-mail, and Netflix/YouTube. The normal days get me to about 60% after 8am-midnight, and higher usage days get me to 30-40%. I'm on wifi on campus, at work, and at home, so I know that helps.

Anyone else have some more insight on the battery of this phone after upgrading from a Razr Maxx?
