I upgraded my phone about a year ago to a Motorola Droid Turbo 2 with Verizon, in the beginning everything was great. The phone was amazing, super fast, battery was more than durable but all of a sudden within the last week my battery went from mostly ok to not even charging anymore. I have been trying to charge my phone since about 12 a.m. (currently 3:40 a.m.) and it hasn't budged from a 6% charge. When I first noticed that the battery was draining too fast I had fallen asleep charging it and woke up to it being completely dead, like ZERO charge at all. I read around and I've seen people posting on different sites that with the new Android update (6.0 whatever) has caused many of these and other phone to literally lose any and all batttery life. My plan is tomorrrow to call Verizon and try to send it off to get a refurbished replacement but I wanted to post this on here to see if anyone has any advice on how to try and personally diagnose and possibly repair whatever is causing my phone to just die in my hands. Please please please if someone has any ideas or advice on somthing I can do to try and get my phone back without having to send it off that would be greatly appreciated!!

Unfortunately that's a fairly common problem with the Turbo 2. I have had to have two replaced because of the same issue. To my knowledge there is nothing you can do except replace the phone. Sorry to hear you are experiencing the problem.

Yes, see this thread on Motorola's forums: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/DROID-TURBO-2-by-Motorola/Turbo-2-won-t-charge/td-p/3261260

Many people with the same issue going back to well before the Nougat update (going back to when the Turbo 2 first shipped almost two years ago.) My guess is that somehow something is damaged within the phone - charging circuitry? the USB port itself? It seems that the only solution is to replace the hardware.

Some people I think are able to charge with a wireless Qi charger, if I remember what I've read in that thread correctly.

In both of my situations I was able to charge with a wireless charger, just not through the micro USB port.
