I think it was a version *before* any version that we have, seeing as it happened days after the blaggers got it.

Yup. This went up the very night the phones were handed out to press by Verizon.

Be sure to thank Phil next time you run into him, as i'm pretty sure he had to pass on the open bar and musical entertainment to get this out to us all

A copy of all the folders, files and apps from the /system folder of the device. Think of it as the guts of the OS.

A system dump is the internal information that is retrieved from a phone take the multi-touch keyboard for example. Since it is repackaged as a .apk, you can sideload this (download it from an external source) onto another phone like the Evo 4g.

LOL.. Thanks. I remember how some of the newer people one of the blackberry boards would get flamed. So far this phone is sick. Blows all the BB's I had out of the water.

Agreed, glad that you're enjoying it! Yes, I believe that you can modify things in a system dump. I think that's how ROMs are made: using parts of the stock UI and changing stuff to make it a custom UI.

Was anyone here able to get swype to work on a Droid Incredible? I installed it and keeps FC'ing. Is this just not possible or am I doin something wrong?
