Motorola Moto G acting/freezing up/repeated messages

Ok, so i first started getting the google.gapps has stopped error message. i had the issue on my old phone, and it was fixable. At first it worked, but then it started re-appearing along with "Google Play Services has stopped" and "Google Newsstand has stopped". Newsstand sometimes stops and re-appears the message even when i clear the cache and data. This goes with the other two messages, so I clear cache, data and rebooted the phone. It repeats shortly after so I uninstall the updates, except now it won't let me update because Google Play Store crashes when one of the other apps request google play services to be update. My phone sometimes freezes up completely and would only start working when I turn it off/on. I noticed that when this is about to happen the messages kind of flash for a split second and then vanish. None of the apps work as far as I can test
Any ideas on how to fix this would be great :) ( I also un-installed update for the Play Store because messages from that started appearing as well)

Re: Motorola Moto G acting/freezing up/repeated messages

Welcome to Android Central! Make sure the phone has the latest Google Play Services installed. On your computer browser, go to the Google Play Services app page in Google Play Store, click Installed, and see if the Moto G is listed there as eligible for an update.
